The original factory fit cap for onboard tank has 3 very small plastic locating lugs on it. We'll it should have 3 but mine has 2 and a bit as it is broken. The original also failed so this was a replacement under warranty. Any ideas on where to get a replacement at sensible cost. I doubt the Fiamma model fill fit as the lugs are a lot bigger on it and hence far more robust. If I do source one I'd then have to swap the lock barrel over, so probably another question as I've forgotten how I did this on a failed underbed hatch lock on previous van

After a bit of ebay searching it looks like this is the part without any barrel/keys. Werbung: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283962017602?...cAAAOSwdAVfIIh5
The problem is it could still break as you have the same lugs, so how about this Werbung: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164538976449?...jwAAOSwZcRfs8nf

The water filler cap is a Fawo part, Colin.
I have the same issue with mine, except 2 lugs have snapped off.
When I get round to it I'm going to replace mine with a non-locking cap, Werbung: here.
Edit: Snap!

I've ordered a couple, so I'll now have a spare. I suppose at £18 for two not bad.
Next step will be to try and figure out how to remove the lock barrel from current one. If I can I'd like to swap this over with my door lock as that is not as in good a condition as the one on the water filler cap.

Your locks will be the FAP HSC high security type with a 3 or 4 digit number begining with FW
A special key is required to remove the (unlocked) barrel - a locked barrel cannot be removed, for obvious security reasons.

Update,
arrived promptly and the unit is exactly the same as original, but obviously without key. As above this could be swapped over with use of special key in link as posted by John.
Before I swapped it over I put the slightest smear of vaseline on the rubber gasket and it's mazing how much more smoothly it twists into place. So if you want to minimize the chance of yours breaking take not.

I've found the barrel removal key here at a much lower price than shown in my first link, Colin.

An interested thread to follow............................
However it instantly threw me back to 2016 and the blind panic I got into the day we first pitched our Troll after picking it up from AL. Remember I always claim to be totally non-technical & cack-handed with nearly everything.
I'd got the steadies up and was admiring our shiny new van when Kath asked how we got water. No problem it goes in here he says taking the blue filler lock off. Kath says show me how to do that. I proudly showed her how and got the filler cap jammed somehow. No idea what I had done but I couldn't get it to budge. I talked to it nicely, then cursed at it in various dialects but for 20 minutes could not get it to budge. here we were with our expensive new German pride and joy and I couldn't even get water into the tank.................
Thankfully someone close by took pity on me and came over and undid it straight away and showed me how to do it. But the die had been cast every time I go to fill the tank I get an instant nervousness first time I put the key in the lock - even last week on Knaresborough C & M C site. I now only unlock it when I arrive and lock it again when we are leaving
My defence is that it is a really bad piece of design and kit, eminently breakable by the heavy handed. The fact that both Colin & John have broken their caps is evidence that it isn't just me being useless

I ordered one too, Colin.
I've also asked if they can supply a barrel to match a specific key number - the lock on my hab door has been playing up recently.
But I do take issue with their advice to squirt a liberal amount of WD40 in the lock - it will swell the plastic lock assembly, eventually causing it to jam.

Unfortunately that removal key will only fit the HSC barrels. The barrels fitted to your locks will be STC/Zadi.
Why do you need to remove the gas locker barrels?
