Regarding the age of Eriba Pan Familias from 1963 to 1991, I found this list on eribastuff.com
https://eribastuff.com/blogs/eriba-how-t...iba-pan-familia
It may be of some use to someone.
Update - same site - Puck ages 63 to 92 ish:

I think you will find that that information is amazingly similar to:

Official literature? And I thought it was all SECRET!!
I bought my Puck from an advert in "Classic Car Weekly" where it was described as '1973'. Having trawled the other sites I was left with the impression that it had been made in 1976 according to the plate at the side of the door. Crawling around underneath today I have found a plate on the axle that includes a '3-76' date.
Hope this un-Official literature may be of some help to others!

Dave,
I believe one identifying date is vans had a square top door up to 1974.

Can the internal Eriba layout give a clue to age, or merely the model?

There are various clues to age on some internals.
Upholstery fabrics only ran for certain years, though they're unlikely to pin down an individual 12 month period. Washroom interior designs also altered but again, they all lasted several years. Framed doors indicate a van before a certain year and curved doors are another indicator.
Certain layouts were only available for a few years, or if they were really bad sellers, just one season.
2008MY vans are distinguishable as they are the only ones with a dark wood strip across the roof lockers, giving a banded effect around the van.
If you have the multi purpose bed version of a 540 or 420 then they can be dated by how the large freestanding table was stored. In 2004 it went vertically behind the wardrobe and the nearside bench had a sort of mini bedhead to stop hair or feet getting entangled. For 2005 storage moved to flat out slid under the offside bench, held by a sturdy wooden device at each end. Then in either 2006 or 2007 they gave up trying to store it away and opted for the current system of storing it flat on the top of the offside bench, held in place by strategically placed press studs.

The confusing thing about our van is that the blue plate on the side states 'PanFam' (presumably Pan Familia), but the layout is almost certainly a Pan Duo as per the pic below:

So tricky to date if your'e not exactly sure what model it is in the 1st place. Maybe its a hybrid. I dont know.

And even more confusing is the plans you show have two images with door on the wrong side.

Plus the sleeping figures are the wrong way round in our case :)

Sometimes dating can be done via a mix of internal features, layout, fabrics and external finish. The yellow, purple and blue external stripe vinyl decals were a feature of certain years and in the noughties there were differences in the narrow plastic herzim trim around the van, with earlier vans having white and later bright red.
