Hi all,

Welcome and I hope you can get away soon to enjoy your new van. The 550 does not seem a frequent purchase in recent years, in fact the first new 550 van I have seen for sale on a dealer website in a couple of years is awaiting delivery now. I think it has the most open feel to it and easiest to access the front diner area.
Do you mean factory fit extras of mover etc were not available or after market/dealer supply. The factory mover is twice the price of a good after market fit such as the Reich 1.8 and the vast majority of owners go this route.
If you need the canopy for a bit of shade and protection from light rain you will find a nice Isabella Shadow on Gumtree at present for £75. At 3m this is the correct size and might meet all of your needs or be a useful stop gap as I'm guessing you might be after one of the wind out canopies. https://www.gumtree.com/p/campervan-cara...00cm/1408918714]

Welcome to the Forum & congratulations on getting your Troll. It must have seemed a long wait from ordering until collecting.......................
Hope you get your extras sooner rather than later, especially the motor mover as the Troll is heavier than it looks. Our motor mover stopped working once at the Crystal Palace site and it took Kath & me, a warden and a poor chap walking past to push and pull it into position.
Oddly the warden told us that the nearby TV mast seemed to interfere with some motor movers signal - ours worked perfectly the following morning when I wanted to adjust our position on the pitch...................
I'm sure that you will have some fun times in your 550

Thanks, yes, this was a special order that the dealer slotted into his batch for us, it was on/off the factory build several times during German lockdown due to lack of part supply etc.The vehicle, mover & canopy were ordered all at the same time last November. We prefer it's seating arrangement & went for a fixed bed up front
Have now found someone to fit the Reich Pro 2.0 mover tomorrow & have recently bought an Isabella Shadow canopy, thanks. We purchased an Isabella North awning for it before the van was ready & have now to fix the centre roof bracket but not sure exactly where to fix it, I think it goes on the rail, below the awning groove?, that's my next job!
We wanted the pull out canopy (with LED light) that we originally ordered to be fitted snug on the roof, conforming to the roof shape, I think it needed glueing to the roof for this & the dealer (L) was not interested in this method of fixing, so we'll cope with the lighter Isabella one in a bag.

You did well to get the van so quickly with the Covid situation. When we ordered our Triton in June 2016 it was not due for collection until Feb 2017, 8 months.
When fitting the awning brackets they go through the rubber/plastic strip that runs along the centre of the awning rail. Fixing them here means you get a good fix on the tubular steel framework directly behind it. If you lay the awning fabric out I think you will find the awning cord length determines the end brackets will be about 3.4m apart, but please check. The centre bracket should be dead centre between the two.
