Hi Paul and Sadie and welcome to Eribafolk. You haven't broken your oath as most Eribafolk don't think of Eribas as caravans. They are better than that

Hi Paul and Sadie
Got a 542 Adventure on order at Tebay as well, due mid to end of August.
Have picked up a few secondhand bits from Fleabay. Isabella Shadow sunshade etc.
Got a lot of rest of kit from a big white plastic box i had previously, but now just by myself, decided to downsize and Eriba ticked the boxes.
Have great fun and enjoy yourselves.
iain . Ford Kuga soon to be towing Troll 542

Hi Paul and Sadie and welcome to the Eriba gang.
The Rockabilly and Ocean are both very cool looking vans. the Trolls are a bit like Dr Who's Tardis inside and I'm sure that you'll both have lots of great adventures in it.
As to getting an awning you need to think what you want it to do, although as you have probably found out many are currently sold out.
A number of us have different awnings or canopies for different trips we go on. For short trips in the summer many of us just use something like an Isabella Shadow canopy that goes up in five minutes or a lightweight canopy or awning such as a Sunncamp Swift or a Vareo.
For longer trips a number of us have also got bigger & heavier awnings, often with air beams like the Kampa Popairs. If you go for one of theses the modified model from 2019 are much better the the early ones. The poled ones tend to take longer to put up and take down but some of them do look lovely
Many of the awnings for low campervans also fit the Troll. You can end uo paying a lot of money for the more high end of these.
We've currently got four awnings/canopies but we are currently thinking of looking for another one with more anti-mossie mesh built in to the windows and doors,
Anyway enjoy your Rockabilly and get yourself some good music to listen to when you are on your travels.

Kampa, like lots of awning brands, work on the Model Year basis that the caravan industry runs to. They launch their product range for the MY in September and the stuff comes in from east of Suez in early Spring the next year. By mid summer, if it's been a decent year, their dealerships are sold out and the cycle rolls on. It's a pain in the rear end but they never seem to keep their dealerships evenly stocked throughout the year. It's feast or famine.
I had nothing to do on this hot afternoon

savvy buyers buy "last years" stock in the new year when manufacturers know their "new" models will deflate the prices of "old" models: play them at their own game:)
you'll be unlucky not to find one that someone has that they want to get rid of:)
