Has anyone tried the Eriba roof insulation strips? For those who don’t know what I mean, Eriba have produced a quilted strip that goes all the way around the pop top canvas strip. It is held in place by magnets. I would be interested to hear how effective it is, is it easy to put up, how much storage space does it take up, is it value for money @ £229?

Poptop insulation Wooliew? https://www.adventurelv.com/eriba-touring-roof-insulation/

Lots of references to it in the search engine. This one for instance Hymer pop-up insulation option

I did seriously consider it in the past when it first came out but always thought that it was too expensive.

The suggestions from various members of producing their own version sparked my interest and Steve Js solution looked interesting. But must admit I have not tried doing my own yet,

If it's cold at night, I just close the roof. But then, I'm short so I can walk around in the day with the roof down too ;)

We've used vans in v cold, snowy weather and not really felt the need for insulation around the canvas, the heating keeping us toasty despite the minus temps outside. Environmentally I guess, not so good, but for the odd few nights involved it's unlikely to increase global warming that much.

It is at times like this I am grateful of being vertically challenged.

One of the few benefits of it being cold in York last week was that I had my flat cap on much of the time and so didn't scrape my bald pate against the roof or the door. The "Northern bowler hat" has a lot to be said in its favour...............................................

These are dead easy to make. I did ours in 4 pieces to make it easier to fit. My version is for sale for £18,000. A lot, yes, but it comes with a free 2015 Triton 😁
