I must admit that since Eriba ownership starting in 2003 the number of times I have needed a mover as opposed to finding the use of one made life a lot easier are very few.
Italy - access to and from the very steep pitches meant the campsite tractor for those without a mover
Dordogne - soft and mole hill riverside location
Scotland - very steep gravel slope
Loire - inconsiderate campers parking in height of summer, several times

Yann damaged his achilles tendon pushing Betty on wet grass once and when I push, nothing happens at all. We figure that having the mover will allow us to keep her for many more years than if we had to push.

I have just fitted a remote switch for our mover. I replaced the key switch with a relay, and ran the control cable under the seating around the back and behind the fridge which made for a neat job. The cable I used was bigger than required as this is what I had, but in the event of reverting to the original configuration, this could be used for a USB module instead. Also ran a small lead back to an existing negative connection under the seat for the LED earth.
The main issue with the location of the original switch is that the awning is usually in the way so you have to shuffle things about to access the switch. The new position will make things a lot easier.

Hi all when the mover is fitted I take it by looking at pictures the fitter will need to remove the metal mud guards?
Has anyone had a power touch evolution manual installed on a Troll if so what model and what brackets were required?
Cheers Dave

Dave, some Eriba do have mudguards in heavy rubber with a bottom metal strip. Our first did but the following three have not.
Unless the mover is fitted forward of the wheel they will need to be removed. On some Trolls I have seen the mover forward of the wheel but cannot recall this on any other model.

I think you will find that mudguard has been removed and re-fitted further back. It's nice to see somebody went to the trouble of doing so.
Somebody has obviously spent money on that 2008 540 as those wheels do not look original and are from a later year. Attached is our long gone 2007/8 Troll.
