1978 Triton Fixed window seals

Hi, Hoping i may get some help with this as google is not really bringing anything up.

The fixed window seals on our 78 Triton are all cracked on the outside so i want to replace if possible, they are the seals with the insert in but i cannot find anything that has the correct depth of opening to fit over the eriba body, only ones i can find are ones that would go over a normal van/boat opening of a few mm thick panel, wheras the ones fitted are much wider.

Any ideas ?

Ive seen those John but they woud not work with the fixed windows as the seal also holds the actual window, then a strip it fitted to hold it in place.
They may work for opening windows though, sods law all my opener rubbers are perfect.

Yes, most of those seals are for openers, but did you see the fixed seals at the bottom of the page?

They do look very similar to yours - or perhaps I need new specs!

I have samples for all their opener type seals as it can be difficult to gauge the correct profile shape and size - perhaps you could get them to send some fixed window samples.

I almost forgot to mention COH Baines who are significantly cheaper than SD

https://coh-baines.co.uk/collections/window-seals

They used to only sell in 50m + quantities to trade, but now sell by the metre to any bugger with a valid payment card

When you order, it would be a good idea to include a locking strip insert tool - I haven't looked but they should sell them.

And a spray can or two of silicone lubricant (S'Fix etc) will make installation easier too.

Thanks John, Yes they do a tool, I will get a sample first just to check, pretty sure the 25mm should do it and looks the same profile, the 27mm and 30mm are a slightly different design. I need to get a window out first really just to confirm that the body thickness is the same at the front compared to the back window which is where i measured body thickness as the opener seals are easy to pull to one side.
