Saga Insurance Shock

It was a shock indeed. I have just received my renewal notice from Saga for my 2019 Troll. It is insured "new for old" for £30K. For the first time in my life the premium has fallen from £298.99 to £254.33. Same cover and acceptance of Milenco Wraith wheel lock and Alko hitchlock as security. Is this a sign of being ripped off for years?

Do they insist on CRiS registration and an annual full service Mick? They did with us.

They do not insist on CRIS registration but do stipulate annual service for new for old policy. In fairness I believe an annual service with gas check is quite sensible and a reasonable inclusion.

I just got a few quotes as mine is due this month.
SAGA was £297, new for old £29k.
Caravan Guard was £434 new for old £29k. Iam already with CG
Caravan club was £773 new for old £29k

when I told Caravan guard I could get it cheaper they dropped it to £369, they said they will ring back on Saturday as they may be able to offer more discount??

When I go on holiday I like to pop my top!

Thanks Stewart, this is Interesting about Saga & Caravan Guard

At the last minute as usual I have moved from Caravan & Camping club Insurance after the second year of a hefty hike in price and moved to almost identical Caravan & Motorhome and saved £60. The cost of New for Old at £29K was outrageous with both. Will have to look at Saga and CG next year's renewal and look at New for Old.
