When I was looking on Meerkat, I saw a quote from "Insure My" which looked competitive at £220 for our new 540.
However, when visiting the actual provider, one of the questions was "Is you caravan imported".
How would you suggest we answer this? (We purchased from a UK Dealer)

I think they are drawing a distinction between a van supplied by a dealership and one purchased on the continent and imported privately by the new owner. It's like dealer-supplied Japanese cars and what are known as 'grey imports'.

So your answer is 'No, it's not an import.'

Like Aaron Calder I had never heard of 'Ping' Insurers either, but a quote of £88 and change for my 2007 Troll was impossible to resist. Based in Gibraltar but FCA regulated, I think they are brokers underwritten (like most insurance) by a number of insurers.
