It has an Al-KO hitch. Any idea what hitch lock will fit to keep my insurers happy?

Welcome to the forum. If you post a phot I'm sure somebody can help. If your hitch is not the anti-snake type, then I think it could be an AK130 or AK160. This would seem to do the job and Saracen [Nemesis] range are good. https://shop.highbridgecaravans.co.uk/sa...dk-3fq81tdIz6uK

The Bulldog AA one I got with our Puck is very heavy and is relegated to the shed.

I bought an AL-CO hitch to suit AL130 and AL160 and it didn’t fit. It’s the hitch with the red button that pushes out when hitch is connected.

It sounds like somebody might have retro fitted an Alko 1300 anti-snake hitch, like in the attached linkk.https://homesteadcaravans.2dimg.com/1/1516613951_0207.jpg
If that is the case I would advise buying a second hand Alko lock specifically designed for this hitch. They come up second hand on e-bay, gumtree etc and you should easily be able to find a good one, with a plastic safety ball, for less than £50.

I agree with Pedro about the Bulldog wheel lock being heavy but it is also dangerous to your fingers if an arm suddenly slips. Mine has been relegated to the shed for the last three seasons, as is our replacement the SAS Supaclamp Duo which was temperamental to fit, and I now use a Nemesis Ultra which is totally brilliant and never fails to be fitted in under a minute.

As to our Alko hitch lock sorry GibsonFender but I know very little as we bought it off Cameron when we got our Troll.

By your user name it sounds like you like guitars...............don't know where you live but if you are ever in the North West there is a fascinating place called the Barnoldswick Music & Arts Centre that is a pub & small concert venue that is full of musical artifacts including loads of guitars and amps. I think it might also have a shop selling guitars. The venue for concerts is in the cellar and only holds about 60 people but it is great as you can meet and talk to the artists.

Last January I watched an American Blues great John Primer whose guitar work I have loved for 40 years playing less than 5 feet in front of me. At the break he didn't go back to the dressing room but stayed around talking to people - I was a bit overcome with emotion as we chatted - Kath called me a wannabe 70 year old groupie

Hope you get you hitch lock sorted for your Puck

Thanks Mike. Will look.
You are right about guitars. Spent most of my life playing pubs, clubs and weddings.
Cannot play now as arthritis in fingers. Kept my best instruments but gave the others to kids in the family to play.
Cheers

Spent most of my life trying to play the guitars I own having given a "kick Start" to 3 of my sons and one daughter who now all do the rounds playing pubs, clubs and weddings.

My only boast is that I taught them their first chords and they are now trying to teach me a second one

Started playing guitar at 12 years old. Blame the best local band The Rocking Phantoms with guitarist /singer Noddy Holder aged 17.
Took up claw hammer banjo in my mid 40’s for a change. Sometimes you have to look for an instrument to inspire you.
Ukuleles are great for starting. Four strings and 3 chords and you can play tons of songs.
Cheers

Hi Baz

I'm afraid I am in Randa's class. We have a piano, various acoustic guitars & one electric one, three harmonicas, one small electric organ, and a ukulele.

Despite being an avid music lover and record collector I cannot play a recognisable tune on any of them. I thought when I retired I would have time to learn the blues harp but the best I got was a couple of lines of "Michael Row the Boat Ashore" which Kath asked me nicely to stop playing................

I booked Noddy Holder's band at College before they formed Slade and hit the big time. I can't remember their name but think they all looked like skinheads but it is over 50 years ago
