it's been a while since I worked for SOCA
If you worked for SOCA then you ought to know BETA

That means nothing to me but it was 6 years ago, and I also worked on E Borders, ARA, and many others but we called them by code words so I may just have forgotten what I knew

I'm rather embarrassed to say that I wish I'd never started this.

It means nothing to you because it's just a deliberate mis-spelling of better, but one in keeping with SOCA. As in 'you should know better'. BETA.

Never mind.

Like I say, I wish I'd never started it.

If only I could wind the clock back fifty-odd years. Things might have taken a very different course, and I'd probably never have got myself in this horrendously cringeworthy situation...

Wouldn't it have been easier just to spray your van red, Graham?

I notice that the thumbnail pics are rotated in the post, but when clicked on, the enlarged pic is correctly orientated.
I have been deleting pics in some of my posts because whatever I did to the original, the posted one was often rotated!
I had not realised that the full pic would have been OK!

It is strange, and I have done exactly the same, deleted them until I realised, I think it's tha same for the avatar pictures as I spent 20 minutes correcting and rotating the other night before deciding to use a different photo, the mind boggles

I'm wanting to remove the Herzim strip from our 1997 puck 120, but I don't know how to remove the end caps. I assume that there is a screw behind the little round "button" thing, but I can't budge this. Any hints?

You usually have to dig those screw head covers out with something sharp like a penknife blade or a bradawl and it's difficult not to cause some damage in the process.
