just purchased a triton
hi all, today we became the proud owners of an eriba, after viewing months ago and waiting for the nice old chap who has owned it for many years to have his last holiday in it, it is finally ours, after much research it turned out to be a 1994 triton 430 bsa 3 berth with wash room, just finished stripping out the interior to give it a deep clean, inside is in good condition apart from the smev hinged glass that goes over the sink/cooker/drainer, one piece is cracked. any ideas who can supply these? exterior is mainly ok with one or two small dinks, but the opening window on the door side (next to what turns into the double bed is crazed and spoils the look of the van, any ideas who can supply replacements, and finally the gas locker is faded and I wondered what colour it should be (currently gold?) as I would like to have resprayed back to factory spec, also how do you get black streak marks off a dimply with out removing the paint? one or two marks on the white?part of the body, any idea if this paint can be purchased or colour code? looking forward to getting on the road with it, thanks in advance for any help

Hi Paul. That's great news. Now the fun begins.
In answer to most of your questions I would advise you to get the VIN number of your van off the plate which should be on the outside of the van just in front of the door.
Then give Jandi a ring http://www.eribacaravans.co.uk/ They will probably be able to give you some sound advise and some help in tracing the parts and paints you require.
Have you got a photo you can post on here? We can then compare it with other vans of roughly the same age to see if you do have a paint discolouration problem.

The mudguards or "spats" are normally the same colour as the gas box but are rarely repainted so may indicate what colour the gas box should be .............if you look at my blog you can see how to mask off to do a respray

Just polished Eddie using Autoglm caravan cleaner. Great stuff and got rid of the black streaks with no effort at all :)

Hi Paul. Welcome to the forum. I can't answer any technical questions because I am still merely a prospective, rather than actual Eriba owner. However, I've found the people on here welcoming and free with their advice. I'm sure you'll find the same!
As for spares, it is a copper bottomed certainty that Jandi will come up time and again, and maybe AL too :-).
