Marks on the Herzim strip

The van was cleaned before the Appletree Park meet. When we got home it was covered up and uncovered today as we are off for a few days. The Herzim strip (waist rail) has discoloured at the front (pointy end) only. It has gone a patchy orange/brick red colour. Meths won't clean it, the rest of the trim that was cleaned at the same time is fine so I am at a loss to know what caused it and how to clean it. Any suggestions?

Thanks Neville, I don't actually want to replace it as most of the waist strip is fine. I just need some cleaning advice, maybe that nice Mr Agger is the man for me

Thanks Agger. I'll try duraglit (carefully). Can't see how saharan dust got under the cover and only at the front but anything is possible.

I'm not sure it is saharan dust it could be water ingress under the trim and a bit of rust from antwhere causing the discolouration, I nearl bought one of those magic erasers yesterday as I think that could be used, again carefully!

I have a few bits arriving this week from Mr Jandi as I want to individualise my Eriba

How about a nice Logo to make your Eriba stand out from the rest.
Perhaps something like this :-

Agger has been following the thread with the Eribafolk stickers he is also looking into an Eriba flag but would have to rely on Mrs Agger for that, I have the lycra Doughnut Delivery Boy suit though, trouble is its full of lumps and bumps when I have it on!!! Is this normal
