SMEV Gas cooker

We have an annoying little problem, when we light one of the rings it stays lit for 2 or 3 minutes and then goes out.
the other 2 rings are fine.
I keep taking the ring off giving it a good wipe down but no joy
Before I get a mobile repairer out just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on a possible fix

Might it be a defective thermocouple, Mick?

So far as I understand it they are a flame failure device that cut off the supply of gas if the flame goes out. If it is faulty it would fail safe even if there was a flame present.

Gulp, does Hob know about this? It might give him nightmares and frighten Gladly.

OK had good ferret around and would agree it's probably the thermocouple. Question now is how do you get under the hob to
a check to see which re-placement thermocouple is required
b remove it
I've removed the 4 screw around the edge of the hob but it stills stays as firmly stuck as ever, any thoughts? (apart from get a repairer in who knows what they are doing)

I found this on line, Mick, which may help. Apparently cleaning or repositioning the thermocouple might get it to work .

Thanks for that, tried cleaning it pushing it down a fraction and checked the burner no joy!!
Looks like it's a mobile fitters job, had a look through the vent for the fridge and there is a metal plate which looks like it needs to be removed to get access to the underneath of the hob. Helen has decided it's looks too complicated for me to mess with.
Anyone know any mobile repairers in the east mids/Nottingham area/

There's a section in the "List of Helpful Links" section of this forum Mick. Caravan servicing and repairs, including mobile technicians.
I used the link JohnE added and found someone near me who is coming out next week to look at our fridge and to service the van. There should be someone on there who covers your area.
