I managed to exchange both of our calor lite's at the weekend at our local caravan accessories shop. No problems and just had to fill a recall form in for each bottle.

This must be costing them a fortune.

The email I got suggested there were 170000 made in that timescale that needed a recall

where is the best place to carry, the full of gas calor recall cylinder?
in the boot with the light electrics,
or inside the car

Just checked mine and it was built 2013, so not subject to recall.
When I travelled down to Sussex to pick up the Lunar I put the cylinder in the boot, packed around with soft stuff and well bolstered.
I needed it for the one night shakedown at Slinfold CC before the long trip back home.

I left my faulty one on the back seat of the car while i went to work. I never thought until later on "what if its leaking ". Pressing the remote to unlock the doors was a little worrying. I had visions of the Italian Job. " Your only supposed to blow the bloody doors off !!! "
