A car pulled up outside at about midday and a man delivered my blue material.
This afternoon was spent with Mrs Jones exploring the mysterious world of bias binding

By teatime I had made my first sunshade for the side window

well done on the bias binding, something have never managed to make a neat job of like you
seems a waste of material to cut on 45degrees to the edge to make bias but suppose looks nice and does ease round the edge
I tend to do a double fold think this is called a roll hem, to hide the raw edge
can screw a seam allowance guide to the bed of machine to help keep material under control with the fast cranking
well done looks 90 degrees to the awning rail as well
hows the cranking arm?

Hopefully Mrs Jones will be back to lurking on the bedroom floor by then waiting for me to stub my toe on her case.
Been doing a bit more this evening.........nothing finished though. Last job of the day ..........sweep the floor and pick up all those stray pins with a magnet ............ in case I forget my slippers in the morning.

Never got the hang of a sewing machine. Work of the devil, those things.

No way to get awning piping into rail between brackets
Might bolt another bit of awning rail to the brackets.

Problem is the distance between bottom of window and top of window shade gets smaller as the window opens further so top mounting needs to be rigid
Awning rail lengths are sold in 1.2 meter bits so just about right for window and sell for about £8.00 just need to find somewhere nearby to buy one.

There is a tool to open the awning rail I think. A slightly widened entry point either side of each bracket would be the neatest answer.
