Mover for a Puck L

I can't say when my next op will be but hpoefully I would llike to think mid April. Therefore I think the rehab afterwards will preclude any driving and use of the caravan. Carole will be happy to drive and tow to Stratford if it's possible but only if we fit a mover and that seems to be the main factor in our use of the Eriba for the rest of the year and onwards. If it's possible that all I can do is stand and walk without any restrictions, then a day trip may be our only chance of getting there to see you all.

I am going to investigate the mover cost with AL and also Powrtouch who are advertising big in the C&CC magazine.

Any one tried this manufacturer ? I would welcome any thoughts on them.

Equally any guidance on existing movers on the Puck L . AL did tell us it wasn't possible when we bought her.

Lechlade caravan engineer Bob (?) measured the ground clearance on my Puck L 230GT
and it met the Reich mover ground clearance requirements. However, Mark would not allow
it to be fitted, due to complaints from a customer for the same Eriba fitting. I did however
have the uprated axle. I spoke to the owner of a t@b. about the units fitted to his caravan
and they were powertouch.

Whats a T.A.B?

Will probably use AL as they are nearer and quoted £1119 and they know the vehicles and Carole will have to tow it there, but we will see.

Powrtouch want several photos, dimensions and other checks and they are in Derbyshire, although have offered at home fix, but how much? At present I can't get down and under to do all they ask for info and that will be some time yet.

Well for what it's worth Derek, I think that's an OK price when you sum up all the pros and cons. I've seen prices around the £950-£980 mark for other Eriba models from mobile fitters and in view of all the talk about the Puck L being a difficult fit I would go for it.

Talking about Movers Derek, we read that there was a sizeable earthquake in Winchester yesterday:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-31009707

And I've deleted what I put, Rodders. It wasn't necessary, and I apologise.

You're so dashed attractive when you get irritated, mind.

Gizza kiss, you handsome brute.

Gwoorn...
