That sounds exactly the same as my Troll door- Martin/Cheryl.....

As I mentioned in an earlier post I wonder whether there is a slight error during the manufacture process... It does seem odd that a number of vans are all suffering a similar misalignment....

About four years ago I bought s pair of low rider front pannier racks for my touring bike.... the left hand rack fitted ok but appeared to be slightly out in the vertical alignment....
Every other rider in my group that had a pair of these racks found exactly the same 'error' in manufacture....
It does make me wonder if the Door issue is something similar.....

I have seen bent hinges and "slam" bends on Eriba doors, some can be gently
bent back into place but on hinges the internal tube they are mounted on seems
to have twisted setting the hinge back "into" the bodywork as far as I can see this
is the result of a really strong wind slamming the door back as there is often a
corresponding shallow dent by the door retainer.
