Single person hitching is easy, well if is if you have a caravan mover.
Just reverse straight onto the tow hitch until your reversing beepers give a continual beep.
Then switch on the caravan mover and drive caravan straight onto the tow ball.
Simples.

Good ideas Hob, I had a s/steel one but it was not a heavy enough guage and it bent
at the first impact from the tow hitch!
The Fresnel lens stick on rear view panels are very good and around £10

How long do they need to be then Nev because the Westfalia ones extend to 1100mm.

My 800mm is long enough but the 600mm is too low to see out of the rear window.

Did you make them yourself then? I didn't realize that I didn't twig as the back end of the car in the photo didn't look like your car.

I've got one in the car but it telescopes from about the length of a biro to about 600mm. A pretty little wand (painted red) with a magnetic tip and not a big magnetic block like the ones you've got.
It's something like this one and is very handy.

Believe it or not there are 3 little watch type batteries and an LED bulb in there and the magnet has a hole in to let the light out.

Brian, has mentioned a garden knee pad, which is what I use, it has a hole in it (a hand grip) which I slide over the tow ball, now the cleverer ones will be thinking how does he get it off then, well I cut through the grip with a Stanley knife, so when connected I just pull the kneeling mat up and out of the way
