From green to white

Inspired by our resident "Mr clean" and a nice day I got the cleaning rags and a new tooth brush out and washed the van today between breaks to get my breathing working again i think I got all the algi off and things looking reasonably clean ready to attend the coming meet

I did however ponder how to clean plastic windows without scratching them?

any ideas welcome.

Fenwicks Windowize or even the "mild" T-Cut.
I have even done them with Brasso and "fluffy " cardboard,
or Sovol Autosol .

I bet Eriba owners up and down the country were doing the same today. I certainly was. The cover came off yesterday and today was spent fettling.

Up till now I had been unable to get the fridge to work on gas — no spark from the piezo — but I kept at it and after a minute or so there came a series of little flashes in the sight glass followed by a blue flame. I've left it on overnight with a thermometer inside to see how cold it gets.

I also tested the gas fire, which appears to work fine.

All the cooking surfaces and sink were washed and wiped with Flash, followed by the washroom surfaces.

Finally I fitted an Al-Ko manoeuvring handle to the jockey wheel post.

It feels good, doesn't it?

The Fenwicks video addresses this. They advise to use regular caravan cleaner at the stated dilution, but to just use your hands, presumably so you can feel if there is any grit. I'm sure you could use the same technique with any washing solution you want to use, doesn't have to be Fenwicks.
Hope that helps — Martyn

Don;t hold your breath experiments at an off grid hook up using gas showed internal temps rarely dropped below a measured 6 deg limit

Our van windows are in dire need of cleaning up but I've not had the courage to do them. Same goes for the pop top fabric. Will have to see when we finally take the covers off.

Yes cover off at the weekend then on to AL on Tuesday evening for their work on service and mover. Hopefully the full clean before the covers went on will serve.

I must have been lucky then. I left the thermometer, a max/min one, on the middle shelf of the main fridge compartment, and when I went to retrieve it, about an hour ago, it showed a minimum of –15C (having fallen from about +12 when I put it there). That's a relief, if only because I don't really want the hassle of schlepping down to Poole with a warranty claim.

I understood that the gas cooling process was the more efficient way of cooling the fridge.

We would agree with that. If you remember, we were forced to use gas for most of our trip last year after the electric element gave up. However, it took almost as long to light the thing as it did for it to cool down
