Does the forum have any Eriba Hitch covers? I need to get one as I have wrapped my electrics in a plastic bag under the plastic Hitch for the short term.

Hi Taffy, be careful wrapping the cables in a plastic bag as they tend to sweat and produce moisture which could lead (sorry) to problems, I know it's a short term solution but I'd be tempted to remove the bag and just tuck the cables under the hitch cover until you source a suitable cover, after all they do get wet and dirty when towing in inclement weather

Thanks Agger, any update on what you are going to do for the future after your Sale and taking stock of the future?

I haven't used a hitch cover so far and can't use one while away as the tv mast fits on the jockey wheel stem
But I am thinking of getting one for home and winter use
Unless you specifically want one with Eriba on it you can get them on line and at caravan shops

Hi Taffy, nothing yet we will give it until next year at least before we know whether we have made the right decision for us

I would look at wheel covers too, you can get all 3 in just about any colour to match

We got one in the Eriba when we vbought her, but have since relegated it for the freebie we got from AL at the last service. Always use ours, home or away

I use one of these brackets Nev which still allows me to get the hitch cover on.

buy a cover or make one with mrs hand crank Jones and using hook and loop one company called Velcro, other brands available
modify cover for the mast attachment
don't forget to oil sewing machine with sperm oil before beginning , (mentioned in Jones sewing machine manual)
you could wash fabric with 303 to help keep weather off
grabs coat and runs off quickly
