The cheap hanging things do go very saggy but our eldest daughter bought some really good ones from John Lewis (I think or else it was Lakeland) to store her shoe collection in (last count she could give Imelda a run for her squillions) and they have proved to be really long lasting I'm saving up for some to replace the saggy ones currently in Marmite.

Hi
This is my first attempt at uploading pictures so hope it works

The timber was from B&Q in the stair and door section, I thought the grain matched better.
I cut the groove to fit the MDF using a circular saw and fitted to the wardrobe using small "L" brackets.
the timber and MDF were each given 2 coats of Ronseal satin beech varnish.

That's interesting, never seen a wardrobe door with a see through top before did you do that?

Pictures of shelves. The shelves themselves are about 12mm MDF with a 25mm high x 10mm thick lipping on the front providing an upstand to stop things sliding off. The support pegs should be commonly available (if not, I've got lots of them) but you will have to be VERY careful not to drill the holes too deep and come out the other side. Mark your drill-bit with masking tape. We put shoes on the bottom - hence the newspaper. Note the small block fixed to the underside of the shelf right behind the peg - to stop the shelf moving forward.
Sorry no photos, I can't work out how add them to this post. Please either tell me how to do it, or give me an email address.

Come to think of it we had a mirror like that in an earlier van. There's not one in the new one's wardrobe. Could be useful.

OK. Got it. Wow, that's a long way from intuitive.

Nice work

I got loads of those little plastic things with my fitted kitchen when I put it in a few years back so they should be readily available from the larger diy stores.
