fridge using gas with awning ?

Here is a conundrum........some Eribas have their fridge exhaust vents on the awning side, would it be wise to use gas with an awning up

Ventilation is the answer, just make sure you have a through flow of air.
Try not to sit under the vents.

I think unless you had a carbon monoxide detector in the awning personally I would be a bit wary, especially if it was been used to sleep in....

I think its heavier than air and I never use a skirt along the bottom of the van.

I have found some info, this statement says not to use a gas operated fridge that vents into the awning:

Don’t use any other gas, charcoal, liquid or solid fuel appliances inside a tent or awning. Gas-powered fridges and lamps, for example, also need plenty of ventilation to prevent them producing poisonous carbon monoxide. Tents and awnings aren’t generally designed with this in mind.
