Where's that CC letter?
Where's that CC letter?

Can some kind soul point me in the right direction of a copy of the CC letter regarding the "nose in/out debacle". We are not members of the CC but the youngest is about to move to a very small cottage in Bourton on the Hill (Cotswolds). The nearest site, 2 miles straight down the road, is the CC Moreton in Marsh site. Today we moved some stuff over into the cottage having stopped at Ikea to buy a bed, mattress, chairs etc. We called in at the Moreton site thinking that it will be a handy place to stop if we are ever encouraged to visit, hopefully she will want to see us again after she leaves home. They were happy to see us, encouraged us to join the CC to save money on site fees then told us that as we have an Eriba it will "obviously" have to go nose in. Before we join up and book I would like to be armed with the correct ammunition for the site management.
I have tried the search facility and could find lots of references to above mentioned letter but not the thing itself.
Thanks in advance, hopefully

Thanks to you all for the speedy response. Will get that printed off and stored in the van ready to "fight the good fight". Don't particularly want to get up anyone's nose (no pun intended) but pitching nose in is hard work when you haven't got a mover. There are also a couple of little sites in Moreton that I will have a look at, they don't tend to be too bothered how you pitch. Just need to check the facilities, got to hand it to the clubs, they do a nice toilet block.

Julie, all the letters I had are on here somewhere, there is also a small article in a CC magazine which states they do not have a nose in rule
Likes to wax and have a smooth finish! Has an empty space where once a very polished Eriba stood😎

Julie it must be a warden thing coz we've stayed at Morton in Marsh several times over the years usually when we used to go to Lechlade for our annual service and we never had any bother, even parked up crossways on one occasion. They CC policy is also on page 12 of the August 2014 club magazine, there is probably a copy of the relevant page somewhere on here, failing that let me know and I'll photocopy the page out of the mag we keep in Marmite and send it to you. Have a good time wherever and whenever you go

Ditto!
We've stayed a few times for the Christmas fair and never been told to go nose in. And I agree it must be a warden thing.

Sandringham CC site have a nose out policy regardless of door side - including motorhomes. When I was there last year, the lady on reception said that I would have to make sure I parked centre to pitch and parked the car on the opposite side to the door. There wasn't a problem but there seemed to be a touch of annoyance in her words !

Ref post #12 about Sandringham CC I jokingly enquired why we were required to park nose out (before the current letter and mag article). The reply was that this was 'The Royal Estate' and as I began to mutter about it being too posh for us I was ushered out by Mrs P.
The following morning there was a knock on the door and we were told to move our caravan onto the peg marker as requested.......this was less than 9" away!
Won't be back there ever again, especially as the C&CC site is right next door and nicely informal.
