Ok nothing is simple these days ......sorry.............top left is a little icon with 4 squares (a window)

Click that and go down to "settings" you will have to work your way through "all" of them turning off things you don't want as you go.............don't miss the sub sections also activate cortana via the start menu and then deactivate it

There is a link here with a how to alter the settings

If you are the only "user" on your pc or don't mind others seeing your settings (partner kids ect)................then you can avoid using a Microsoft account and never have to log in at startup.............I don't log in at all

at settings set the default to "local account" and restart
windows should then start without having to log in

.......................and Microsoft has a harder job spying on you if you are not logged in on a Microsoft account

Capture.JPG - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)

Ignore the crap in the lower 1\2 of the screenshot that's just there to persuade you to let them target adds at you

Drawbacks.................
You can't sync your other devices in this mode
You can't download or buy apps from windows store without being logged in to a Microsoft account (I have one just to get free apps then log out again)
Other users on your pc can see all your bookmarks in your web browser

Not bothered about others using my pc as Gladly is happy not to be online
