Hello,
OMG am I beyond excited or what?
Been researching the notion of caravan ownership for about 4 or so years. Been a member of a certain caravan club for 2 years (but with no caravan). Been a forum member of another Eriba site (but not seemingly as friendly as this one) Narrowed down my choices to a small number of 'practical' German vans PLUS the achingly cool Eriba's (well, in my case the Troll 540) and now...on my very 53rd birthday ...I've sold (exchanged contracts) on my seaside flat this very day and have the freedom to make that purchase - I'm bonkers excited!. I'm off to the Caravan Salon Dusseldorf this weekend to look at/sit-in/imagine.. the contenders and just hope my dearly beloved will see just why these Eriba's are so gorgeous..even though she wants on-board showering facilities. I've read that Steamdrivenandy says that the one thing all Eribastas/Eribanaughts agree on is that "you can't shower in an Eriba". Well, I went to AL a couple of years ago (for research) and I think (hope) that a skinny person (wife, not me) can shower in these newly re-designed (2012 onwards) washrooms. I was certainly able to get in there and throw a few shapes imagining a showering manouvre - thank goodness there were no hidden youtube cams.
Anyway...thank you all for so much good reading that I've enjoyed. I truly hope to report in 6 days time that I've really joined the club!
Kind regards, Steve

Great to hear Steve and good luck. We went looking for a washroom in our 1st caravan to AL the Poole (variety) see thread above and they talked us out of one. So we have a Puck L.

Welcome Steve. What a great first post!
I have always wanted to go to the Düsseldorf show. Apparently it's absolutely massive. Any chance of a few pics when you get back?

the fun is in the choosing then the using.

Hi Frantone,
Thanks for your kind welcome (everyone's kind welcome!).
I've got the camera packed so will take some photo's and then seek advice on return about how to post them here.
Hope you have a great bank holiday weekend!
