I don't believe it. Just been out and tried again. No spark no noise. I felt inside the freezer box and it felt cool. I checked against the grille outside and it was warm.I checked the sight glass and there was a blue light. How long has it been on I don't know, Damned things.

My fridge is fiercely cold when on campsite 240v. But when switched to gas the pilot light goes out after only a minute or so (Hob reckons it the jet is blocked or dusty, I've yet to check it thoroughly). Hampshireman I feel your frustration!
My question is will the fridge work as well when on gas as it does on electric?
Well, after I get it fixed properly...

We found ours worked just as well on gas even in a hot climate but it was very thirsty and cost us a lot in gas.
As we run on Camping Gaz we worked out it was costing us £2 a day.

We camp off grid at dog agility shows and the fridge works well on gas. I have a fridge thermometer and can keep it a 5-6C with a high flame during warm days and I reduce the flame at night to stop the temp dropping too much.

I never got round to crawling under the puck but was reliably told there is a vent in the floor under the van where it could be looked at.

How I hate that sometimes winking blue flame, my heart sinks if ever we are off EHU. Sometimes it lights on first attempt,, but sadly not every Time!!! When working, it is really efficient...
Good idea from Frantone, re using kitchen roll tube,to view that pesky blue light... Jon will think I have finally lost the plot, seeing me on all fours, with that attached to my eyes, (not an attractive sight) but hey ho, will give it a go.
