How do I delete post?

I don't think there's any rule that says you can't reply to a For Sale notice in the forum, especially if your reply is in the same thread as the notice. You - or the seller - might prefer to have the final negotiations conducted behind closed doors, in which case one or other of you can initiate a PM conversation.
As for deleting a post, I'm not sure mere mortals like us can do that. The nearest thing would be to edit the post so that it has no content. To delete it, ask one of the moderators. I think Randa France and Aaron Calder are touring at the moment, but Frantone, Hob and Pepé Le Pew are popping up all over the place, so one of them could do it for you.

Martyn or Frankie - can I ask a question?
If you click 'edit' under a post of your own, does another option appear underneath which says 'delete'?
If it does (and the post you're about to delete isn't the first one of a thread with several replies), then click it.
If it doesn't, just let one of us know what you want binned and we'll bin it.
The reason for the question is that moderators have some extra buttons, one of which is that delete button. I can't see what buttons other people have or don't have.
Some of our extra buttons do exciting things, most of which I can't tell you about. Hush hush, you see.
There is one mysterious button with a strange symbol on it, but I don't know what that one does.
I suppose I could always push it and see what ha

Hi, nope, press 'Edit' and no delete button. No worries anyway, just edited the post. Another question please, if I PM someone I assume it is sent to their registered email? Is this correct? Thanks Frankie

Was that the Skunk going over the Erichbachem Falls? Or, having encountered a Boojum, vanishing softly and silently away, never to be met with again? And I kinda liked that stripy tail of his <sigh>.
(Can you tell I've nothing better to do this morning?)
As for the plebs' edit screen, no, there's no Delete button - which is why we have you lot instead with your extra and exciting hush-hush boys' toys!
