Table up or down when towing?

I use to leave my table in place when I was towing but then noticed that the plastic strip that attaches the table to the van wall was becoming loose. I retightened them with a drop of wood glue to reduce the movement of the screws and rail. The table must obviously be jumping up and down on its peg leg and loosening the screws.
I now travel with the table on the floor on a rug, both bed poles are in place with bulky light tems such as the waste water container etc on top of the table and in between the poles to stop things moving around.

When I go on holiday I like to pop my top!

Can't say that I've noticed the plastic strip becoming loose - maybe I should take another look lol - but yes, like you, we too travel with the table in place. The van is as per signature below with the table located at the front and despite what the manual states, there is no bracket or anything else to secure the table alongside the wardrobe next to the bed.

Our table travels on the floor on a carpet strip.

One tip, be sure to place it face side down as should anything heavy fall out of a cupboard when travelling, the table surface could be damaged.

Ours was.

Ours was always stowed in the provided (on our Eriba) location, and a carpet tile placed between it and the side of the wardrobe to prevent movement

Front table in its normal place and big rear table in the garage as I now leave the bed set up.

I originally used the storage area designed for the table in my Triton 430, but on the first trip the push studs let go and the table landed on the floor. Fortunately no damage. Now goes on the floor top surface down with matress toppers and bedding on top.

I couldn't do that, no matter how dreadful Mrs P's driving was.

If I had to go anywhere without being able to see out of a window I'd be Uncle Dick before we even got to the end of our road.
