Good morning all, just became very proud owners of a 1998 triton 418 with yellow decals and pop top from a great chap in Darlington. The journey back to North Wales was unbearable due to roadworks but the triton in my rear view mirror kept me smiling and sane. It is 17 years old and genuinely like new both inside and out. The build quality is something else. I feel like a child in toys r us
Thanks
Matt

welcome! I'm a newbie aswell still looking for our first triton 430 I'm off to Norfolk this week to see one that looks v promising!
They are great aren't they much more character than most. We are looking for fairly new as not technical or good at fixing things ourselves, but I think the vintage ones are better looking and good builds. Have you towed before? how was it?

Hi Matt and welcome to Eribafolk. Your excitement for your newly purchased Eriba is overflowing . The 418 is quite special for although it's not everybody's choice it is much sought after by many folk.
We have a '99 Troll and, like your Eriba, it is holding up well. We wish you many happy years of touring.

Hi Nat and John. Here's a short thread on "What to look out for". Hope it's of some help. New Members thinking about Pucks
Are you visiting Dom Fox to view an Eriba? If so he's got a very good reputation.

Hi Randa yes I'm off to meet Dom to see a triton 430 it's a 5 hour drive from us but it's got to be done!
I'm staying over in a B&B as hubby working so too long a drive in a day.
thanks for your help I imagine the advice will be similar whatever the model.

Hi Nat. Yes that advice would go for all models.
I don't think you'll go far wrong with Dom Fox. There are quite a few folk on here who have purchased well from him.
I think much of his stock is brought in from the Netherlands so it may not have a battery pack (not compulsory) and it'll probably have Euro sockets inside. Also the towing lights (reversing light and fog lights) may have to be switched around.
Hob is the man to ask for more advice on this.
