Well, we've removed the nets from Betty and I'd like to change the curtains - at the back, they're fake curtains that don't close.
What curtain ideas do you have for jollying up your vans?

Hi Islay.
We're surprised to hear that your rear curtains are fake and don't close. What year is your Eriba?

We have taken the curtains out of our Eriba and we totally rely on the blinds but I took some measurements of ours for another member a couple of months ago.

I believe that the sizes should be suitable to most models around the same age.

Quite a lot of photos here :- g43-Eriba-Interiors.html

Well stand by to be surprised a little further, Roger - our 2013 Triton 430 also has curtains that are pleated and look very nice but don't actually close. I'm guessing this is a cost cutting exercise by Hymer with the thinking being that the pull-down blinds fulfil the same purpose of providing privacy.

Our Betty is 1998. They're plain yellow and not very inspiring.

I made new ones for my old puck as altering bought ones would be just as much work, Don't forget to use lining material to cut out the sunlight and also to act as insulation

Well judging by a few other comments Islay, our Troll 1999 is unusual in so far as our plain yellow (yuk) curtains could fully close.

I thought that <2000 models had "proper" curtains fitted If you refer to my dimensioned diagram the rear window is covered by 2 x 1430mm curtains, a total of 2860mm against an Eriba van width of 2000mm.

Our PuckL (2004) also has the fake curtains but as we always use the blinds it hasn't been a problem.

Betty has the mossie and black-out blinds so we just want to be able to pull curtains if I want to change clothes for example without flashing all to the whole campsite. If we pull the blinds, we'll be in the dark! Also, they're not very nice.Good quality, but dull.

I discovered today that my curtains that I thought didn't fit and were only for show did actually just about fit if the pleats were removed.

These were only held in place with one curtain hook through 2 loops in the tape and once removed did just about fit the windows.

Need some more hooks now, they are available here
