I never went on my back under the van in hose days I had access to a pit!
A pit?

Blimey - if you were able to get underneath it without lying on your back you've got absolutely no excuses for not having a pipe support every couple of inches (with the screw head slots all facing in the same direction) and a fall calculated to the nearest half degree.

I was feeling a shred of sympathy for you and your burst pipes to begin with.

Not any longer...

It was quite strange as I "remember" using pipe supports but "how many?" I guess I did'nt do a "proper" job BUT as I say wihout highlighting it I just know many would fall into the same trap. Personally I don't have the problem anymore but wold like to think that if my mistake? helps out just one person on here it will of been worth it

Just another thought hence the edit. If your "horizontal" pipe freezes the water that remains blocked in the pipe between the sink / shower and the frozen section will look for a way out! Most of these pipes are push fit without a proper seal (they don't need it as the water usually runs away) I just know that it will seep within the confines of your beloved Eriba or WWB
