I promised a while back to put some photos of our 1991 Triton folding washroom.

From the outside it looks like a big cupboard.

Inside there is a washbasin with shelves under, and a corner area with 12V rectifier and room for water tank, plus two more shelves. There is room (just!) for a Portapotti 335, the smallest one (and most expensive bother it!). The doors close with the portapotti in situ. Whether one's bum will fit on it in situ is another question! But you can easily enough pull it out. Both cupboard doors fold out to make double their size and one has a mirror on the back. They latch together to make a wibbly wobbly semi-private toilet area (not very private if you look over the doors ).IMG_20160105_193350.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)

Me thinks it will be fine for avoiding night-time excursions.

Looks great Sarah

From time to time Lidl has been known to sell the smallest Thetford Porta Potti. We bought one about 10 years ago for a low cost and, believe it or not, about 6 years ago we bought another one for the princely sum of 30p in one of Lidl's car park sales.

Hi Randa,

That's quite a bargain! I'm a regular in Lidl and Aldi, but never managed to grab one of those at that price. We bought an inflatable canoe once though, and we've had lots of fun with that!

They don't seem to do car park sales anymore where overstocked items from several local stores are sold off in the car park.

What was good about them is that the store manager would estimate a cost for a trolley full of items at about £30 no matter what was in the trolley, from packets of pencils to heavy duty hammer drills (or a Porta Potti ).

The couple pitched next to us in France last September (by a river) had one of those canoes. It looked quite substantial for the price
