hi all

Me and wife bought ourselves an early Christmas present in mid December - an eriba puck from 1977. it needs loads of work doing to it which we will endeavour to do ourselves. We'll be on the forum a lot over the next few months i imagine as we try and get it ready for the summer season. At the moment I would appreciate pointers as to where to by bits for old Eriba's, Also how to seal up the fibreglass roof (their is only one or two small holes, and fill and seal the aluminium skin. We have already took out the interior to discover the left overs of mice activity behind the over head lockers and behind the old wall covering.

But for now, hello all. I m glad to have found this forum!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

The best place to start would be here which is a very detailed description of a thorough restoration of an admittedly newer caravan. It should give you some ideas of how to proceed.

Be sure to photograph your work so that we can see the before and after pictures and to document everything so we can pass your experiences on to help others.

Best of luck!

Hi and
You have come to the right place for advice. 'Markfitzgerald' Mark and Lynnsey have done a great job with their van and no doubt can help with sourcing if you PM him. All the best and looking forward to some pics...

Hi and welcome to Eribafolk. Thanks for joining us

As Campnsnooze have said, Mark and Lynnsey Fitzgerald have virtually rebuilt their van. Here's a link to their earliest thread:- Eriba Triton needing a lot of welding

And a photo at one of last year's meets:- g125p1510-Mark-Fitzgerald.html

Thanks all for the warm welcome and helpful tips on where to start. I must confess that after taking up (and sadly ripping) the vinyl flooring today and discovering that about a quarter of the boarding is really damp i have been feeling a little overwhelmed. Perhaps once i ve looked through the suggested restorations i will feel a little less out of my depth.

cheers

Once you've read Mark Fitzgerald's thread you'll see that's the way he felt too. However it wasn't long before the Fitzgerald family were proudly showing it off to the rest of us when they went to the Stratford meet.
