Re the brackets in message #9.

For years I towed a car behind my motorhome with a number plate clipped over the car number plate using the brackets shown in the link on message #9. As long as there is a small gap (1-2mm) behind an attached number plate, blank or otherwise, the spring loaded clips will keep the plate in place. In 8 years of towing we never lost a number plate. The spring clips can be pop riveted to the number plate. Hope this helps. Robin
