Replacement work top catch

We have managed to snap the catch that holds the worktop up when the hob/sink is in use. Any idea where/how we can get a replacement? Have emailed a couple of breakers. May just glue it back together!
Thanks

Hi

Are you talking about the one that holds it up in a Puck? like this? Click picture foe a bigger one to look at.

If you can't find one or fix the one you have broken maybe you can get one made from sheet metal.

That's the exact one!
Good idea. Sheet metal would certainly be more durable.
Thanks

Out of interest, Nev, what does the other one do, that brown one on the left of your photo? We've got one, but I can't for the life of me find a purpose for it.

The brown one clips over the upright part of the flap to stop it falling over and the other part of the flap is supported by the metal bit for a high shelf like this

I can almost hear you saying "now why didn't I think of that"

Ah, that makes sense – in a way, at least. But the reason I didn't think of it is because our 430 doesn't have a worktop. Instead, it has hinged glass covers on the sink and cooker. Maybe there's been a bit of modding done to it over the years? Anyway, thanks Nev.
