Does anybody know where I could obtain these?

I think someone posted that Jandi had supplied some a few months back. Could try Jandi and send them the pic.

http://www.towsure.com/awning-mounting-brackets Plastic only, aluminium is a bit harder to find but not impossible. Try searching the other camping accessory outlets.

Taffy's spot on.

Jandi are one of only a couple of places where you can get the proper cast alloy brackets (and the oval nylon spacers, if you need those too). I got some from them a little while ago. They aren't expensive.

White plastic brackets are two a penny on the net, but they're a pretty poor substitute.

P.S. My post crossed with Roger's - I wasn't suggesting that his suggestion was a poor substitute

Thanks very much for your replies- I did try Jandi .as suggested by Roger & Pepe Le Pew and the information was bang on. Got fixed up with clamps and spacers.
Funny though I also wrote to Soplair who informed me that they no longer sell them. I wonder then how do they hold their awnings up.

With these which don't fix to the awning rail but are held up/pressed against the van under tension from the awning roof and side poles.

Well honestly I think that the original awning clamps seem to be far superior to these pressure clamps. What do others think?

I personally cannot say whether the type of clamp as attached to my earlier post is superior or indeed, inferior, to the type you referenced to at the start of this thread as I have only ever used the white clamp type as supplied with our Walker awning.
I have heard another with this system state that they have suffered slippage during inclement weather although I cannot support this. We suffered some really awful weather a few weeks ago now - really heavy rain and strong side on winds - but cannot report slippage of any kind.
