Well, I've ordered the Outhaus awning, 2.5 x 2.5m with a front spreader rail, just under £100. I probably won't be able to get it up until we go to Spain in a couple of weeks. It may be possible to adapt the front spreader rail to fit onto the awning brackets to provide front to back tensioning on each side, if it does I'll order a couple more, only £25.

Here, finally is a photo of first use of the awning In Spain. I used double guys as it was a bit breezy but after I had inserted the front cross bar I could have gone down to singles and I'm sure it would have been ok.
