Hello everyone,
You won't believe our route into Eribaville but here goes..........
There are three Eribas in our neighbourhood and Mrs. Pig instantly fell in love with them. Sadly Mr. Pig thought she had lost the plot, him being over six feet tall and broad (obviously in a manly muscular way. Then life tested us to the limit and we needed to rediscover adventure and laughter so thoughts returned to the Eriba. We then visited AL in Bournemouth and Mrs. Pig's love affair was confirmed. Fortunately for her Mr. Pig became equally besotted. We got out our cheque books only to be told that our 1.9 litre Fabia wasn't up to the task. We come home and drank lots of wine but the next day whilst walking our dog we saw the owner of one of our local inspirations mowing his lawn. Mrs. Pig was brave and went over, stopped him mid- stripe only to discover that he is in fact one of the founders of this website, Aaron Calder!!!!!!! We spent the next three quarters of an hour in his company as he answered the million questions we had for him and completed a tour of his own Eriba. One sentence stuck in our head, 'If you find your perfect caravan, don't hang about'. So we didn't. We went back that afternoon with our son and bought one.
We are now the proud owners of an Eriba Troll 540 GT but with nothing to pull it(yet). We are so excited and are already planning a big naming party.. Piggy banks have been smashed but we are a very happy family. Brace yourselves for the next million questions that I'm sure will emerge.
A massive thank you to Aaron Calder. Once we've purchased our dream Skoda Yeti we will be off making memories.

Wow, how brilliant to get a lovely welcome at this time of night. We have actually named our baby and it is to be called The Great Mutt after my fabulous Mum who I lost in March. I used to call her Mutti and she brought us joy and laughter just like our Eriba will. Adventure was her middle name and we are going to follow her example.

Quote: Frantone wrote in post #7Damn! I missed a trick there but when I was chatting to them, they didn't even have an Eriba and were then 'off home to join the Forum'. Little did I think they'd take my advice and zoom off back to AL to buy one. I should be on commission.
Did his lordship sting you for sticker money too?😀😀😀
Anyway, it has now been established that I really am Mr Nice Guy and not the grumpy old git of popular conception - so there! (Thanks, Julie)
A sincere welcome to 'The Pigs' who are a really lovely young couple with a smashing Irish terrier. As I said, if you have any questions then the gang on here will be more than happy to help and I am 'just round the corner' if you need practical assistance.
Congratulations on your purchase. I'm looking forward to reading and hearing about your adventures, selling you stickers and providing a copy of the famous 'Pre-departure Checklist' that I showed you on Monday (see below).

I copied the pre departure check list, but in my haste forgot to use it.I forgot to hook the pop top down ! So anyone who saw a Puck southbound on the A34 with the front part of the pop top open this morning, Didcot area , I hold my hand up...it was me :( Still, it proves they are made of strong stuff.. :)
