I think if you have water heater tank you sacrifice storage space and lets be honest the Eriba while fantastic for its layouts in such small space you have to use it sensibly and I am of the later camp that it's a tin tent for luxury camping not a WWB

It kind of depends which van it's fitted in. It's at the back under a little cupboard in ours, so it occupies space we wouldn't have used anyway.

We are firmly of the tin tent persuasion too - our Troll's heater was ordered (or fitted) by its previous owners, as were one or two other luxurious accoutrements that we were quite prepared to do without.

Mind you, it would have been a bit too hair-shirted to have insisted that the fancy extras it came with were removed before we picked it up simply because we'd spent most of our camping lives in a tent, perpetually damp and smelling like wet spaniels.

I really don't know how we survive! We have onboard water filled externally with a watering can and a water heater as well. Apart from an external locker there is no storage at all under the long seats.

Am I bothered? No. We make up the double bed before we leave home and it stays made up for the duration. Accessing anything underneath would involve wrecking the bed.

As for sockets we have 7 and still end up using extension leads. Two smart phones, two iPads, one laptop, two kindles, induction hob, TV, sat box, sound bar, blu-ray player, PVR, external light......... The list just goes on :)

To be quiet honest, with that list of technology neither do I. I wonder whatever happened to the days of real camping.
