Is it the aluminum covering the door or the steel tubing that has corroded?

When you pick up the van, if you could post a photo then someone should be able to help.

We have it on the dimpled alum hatch to the front locker. I did notice traces of it on a couple of vans at AL couple of weeks ago.

Goggleboxer, please explain and we aren't in FB

I don't use Facebook either, and I'd be interested to know too.

I unscrewed the rail all the way round. Removed the plastic inside. Removed the insulation. The water was getting in by the door handle and lick, working it's way down inside and sitting in the aluminium, causing the steel frame to rust. I have replaced the seal around the lock, painted all the steel with hammerite, then put everything back together.

I'm in the process of doing just that.

Water sneaks in behind the door lock.
Runs down rotting everything in its path..

Skin off.. And steel frame is being welded this weekend.
