Wheel Sizes

Yet again, Hymer/Eriba has thrown build uniformity out of the window.

I've just been in touch with a German Eriba owner who is in the process of fitting Jeep Wheels onto his '95 Troll.

When I asked about the 5 stud wheel drums he said they were standard on his van. This was backed up by another Eriba owner with the same age van.

As far as I was aware, all pre-2000'ish vans (anything the same age of earlier than the purple or yellow stripe) had 4 stud wheel drums and 13" wheels?

I wonder if it's to do with a BPW "T" Pole chassis which I think is distinguishable by its round tubular framework as opposed to the ALKO rectangular tube chassis?

I can't verify but I believe the 5 studied axle is the upgraded one with the higher weight allowance,. If your in contact with the owner ask him what his MTPLM is.

If someone asked me that I'd give him what for.

A chap's MTPLM is his own business, and no mistake.

Looking at the photograph I just can't see how that's going to work.
Surely it's going to be in contact either with the wheel arches or other parts of the body ?
Also I'm confident his insurers wouldn't be happy.
