Now don't laugh!
We use our Eriba all year round and the awning goes up some times but there's always an issue with condensation. It soaks the under side of the roof and drips and the plastic windows are also often covered.
Now this is not hugely important generally but when packing up it is problematic. This last weekend was particularly bad with cold clear nights generating gallons of condensation as well as the frost which slowly thawed producing even more moisture on the surfaces.
Over the years we have wiped and wiped with tea towels, micro fibre cloths, squeegees etc. but last Tuesday at Devizes I watched a motorhomer remove the condensation from his Fiamma Caravan store with............a KARCHER WINDOW VAC. Simples!
If you feel the need to rant about this sort of thing not being in the real spirit of back to nature camping or want to boast about how wonderful you are because you don't have a telly or a toaster in your van then please start your own thread and keep off mine!

That's a top idea Mr P, and no mistake.
We've tried towels and various other cloth-type items to dry off both the inside and outside of our awning before packing it away, with mixed (and mostly poor) results. Hanging around while the sun dries overnight rain or dew off the outside is a waste of time, and because we don't keep the van at home, carting a damp awning back to our gaff to dry it properly is a pain in the fundament.
I reckon we'd use one (a window vacuum) at home as well. Quite a lot of our windows are single-glazed sashes with nice curved tops which I neither want - nor can afford, even if I did - to replace with nasty plastic double-glazed imitations, so it'd be good for them too.
And the shower screens. We're quite extraordinarily clean people, and having seven or eight showers a day (each) means an awful lot of squeegeeing. So much so that we hardly have time to get dirty before the next shower.
I could even lend it to the window cleaner.
Speaking of window cleaners, my brother-in-law had the temerity to suggest to his window cleaner that he wasn't doing a very good job.
The window cleaner said (with a succinctness that suggested he'd trodden this path before) that if my brother-in-law chose to look a little more carefully, he'd find that the dirt was on the inside...

You can get a Lidl version of this at a fraction of the cost of a Karcher, I paid £19.99 for mine, only problem is they don't stock them all the time, so you have to sign up to their newsletter, if your not shopping there already you really won't believe how much you can save until you try them.
Happy New Year.

I wasn't thinking of buying another one as we use one in the shower and on the windows at home but at those prices I may consider it.
Thank you guys.

I got one in the sale at B&Q at a ridiculous price a few months ago and thought it would be ideal for the awning, so it will be coming with us! Shame the charging plug thing isn't the same as the Dyson handheld - why can't there be a universal plug/socket for these gadgets?! Would make things so much easier!

Yes, wonderful things these Karcher window vac jobbies. Our local ALDI had them on offer a few weeks before Christmas so I purchased one and gave the house windows a good going over prior to the holidays. Reading some of the above posts we might have to give some thought to taking it along when out and about with the van.

We've just had a house full of visitors this Christmas and why folks need to take showers in the morning
and last thing at night I just don't know?
As long as you keep yourself clean and change your underpants on a Sunday night there's just no need for all this showering !
Anyway it's driven Anne barmy with all the cleaning and wiping down windows etc.
Well this is the answer and a big plus there's her special birthday coming up....so two birds...one stone

Super idea and whilst you're at it, buy her a feather duster and perhaps a new apron.
