This is an interesting youtube article, it describes that an American company is going to produce the Eriba touring under licence in America. They will be offering a version that does not have a poptop and it will have aircon mounted in the roof That would be interesting to see.

Hi John.
I passed on your find to our friends on the Eriba Pucks in the USA Facebook group and one guy in particular is very excited by it all. He's replied with this:-

Now that is precisely why we got an Eriba.
I think.
Looks suspiciously as if someone has been busy with Google Translate. Maybe it meant more in the original language, whatever it was...

Did I miss something or was there really no mention or sight of the word Eriba in it?

Sorry, the message along with one photograph reads:-

Just came from the Seattle RV Show. They were taking deposits for Hymer North America's version of the 550GT, selling for $30k. And the gal I talked to said they will offer a Touring 310 & 320 equiv, and one more model she didn't know about.

Not shown in the link is the follow on discussion :-
Bill Nieman One other dealer, who sells RoadTrek, told me that they will be selling these trailers under the name of Hymer and RoadTrek so as to expand their dealer network. Same trailers though.
Harriet Watson So they're all going to have different names depending on who sells them?
Bill Nieman Different brand names, yes.

An interesting and practical attitude,
We don't care what you call them as long as you sell them.
Along the line in the second hand market that will be bound to cause confusion.

I think they are missing a trick, part of the ownership of having an Eriba is the heritage that comes with the Eriba brand....
