Internal lighting

When I have the hook-up connected on my Eribacar 530 the internal lights pulsate. It is ok on battery only. I suspect the transformer/charger unit. I would appreciate any comments.

Are you using LED lights?

I was going to ask the very same question that John asked.

Were the lights working okay previously? Have you changed any of the bulbs?

Thanks for reply. I have changed to LED on some lights but the problem was there before.

I've just been and put a meter on the 12v supply and it is fluctuating between 13.4v and 13.8v.

Do the bulb 'pulsations' correspond to the fluctuations in the transformer's 12v output?

Pulsations imply something rythmic - if the voltage fluctuations are regular, I'd have thought it was unlikely to be a poor connection or a bad earth in the lighting circuit itself. That's usually intermittent.

I found that leds needed to be suitable for both AC and DC

Cheaper DC ones flickered horribly.

Pulsations are rythmic. I suspect they align with the voltage variation. Problem only exists when the battery is full and hooked up.

What happens if you take the battery out of circuit and the lights are using the transformer's 12v (cough) output only?
