Skirt rail blocked by screw

Has anyone else found that they can't fit a draught skirt to the lower rail on their eriba because there's a screw blocking it? I've just received a new pop air awning which I was trying out this weekend - it includes a draught skirt which slides along the lower rail, but on my Puck L there is a screw that fixes the wheel trim to the body that goes straight through the rail and makes fitting the skirt impossible.

I think the draft skirt is threaded through by starting at the wheel and threading to both sides.

I had this on a previous Eriba. Really annoying!

Assuming it's the sharp end of the screw which is obstructing the channel, you could either back it out, grind off the offending tip and reinsert it, or open up the hole a whisker and use a shorter, fatter screw.

It'll still hold the wheel arch moulding on.

Kind people might say that these caravans were assembled by French artisans.

When slipshod things like this happen, artisans isn't the word that springs to mind.
