Enjoy your new van Colin, happy days. Minor niggles are just that, minor.

Thank you. I have spent the last two days doing a few bits in preparation for the coming year/s.
Electric heater, extra sockets,12v and tv point, water pump isolation switch, front bike mount bracket so far.
Exterior socket, fridge cooling fans, tv bracket, rear cycle carrier, storage in bottom of wardrobe, drawer under sink all to follow.
I have just got to get the hang of those bloody silly touch sensitive lights.

After having pulled various things apart, I would say that apart form the use of the lightweight materials this eriba is generally engineered instead of thrown together as in the days of French build.

Happy days - roll on retirement to make the most of it all.

Colin

Bikes front and rear? How many are you planning on taking with you?

I have always carried the bikes on the back, but I was unsure what the noseweight would be on the new van, carrying a proper battery for the first time and having a mover fitted. The front plate only cost me the tow ball and nuts. I hand cut the plate from an old piece of 3/8" thick angle iron and had one of the students parents plate and enamel it for me. I thinks I have done the correct thing as empty the van was showing 52kg noseweight, so if I have both bikes on the back I would need to fill the front of the van with wine or awing, or use the front carrier.

Go ahead and fill the van with wine, you know it makes sense.
