Things that happen

We arrived at the Spring Meet last Wed in weather which only us Meet organisers can rustle up. Caravan and everything associated with it connected, so the awning was next. It's bee at least two years since we erected it and only did it this time to sell. It took Carole and I about 3 effin hours and we were knackered. It was not correct in terms of withstanding weather.

The poles didn't fit as close as they should, three springs were missing (an easy replacement) and we couldn't get it lined up to the Eriba correctly. The pitch was supposed to be best standard and it was fine, roomy but I could not get pegs into the gravel. Apparently there is hardcore beneath - how daft is that? I was talking to some big white box owners nearby and they carry power tools and curly pegs, ut that's just more stuff and weight to carry,

Then the Truma submersible pump wouldn't supply water to the sink, there was no sound of the pump, so it was probably wiring. I fiddled blind under the sink to find a loose connection but didn't. Then Carole found that the waste pipe from the sink was hanging by a thread over our grey waste bucket. That needs replacing - will ask our son. I fiddled with it.

We left the site at that point as prearranged to attend a BSO concert at Portsmouth and on returning Saturday morning, the Truma pump was working. Miraculous! I can only think it was may fiddling under the sink or with the waste pipe that did something to the wiring.

The awning was dried off, packed and is now in the garage and on Ebay and Gumtree. Two enquiries so far.

I thought you'd just had it serviced at AL, Derek.

Why didn't they pick these things up there?

That is not a part of the Eriba Pete, it's in the outside water reservoir,

The amount of money a service costs I'd have expected the aquaroll to have been cleaned out using a sable brush and rose water and dried with dandelion clocks

It is not an Aquaroll, Merely a water container, with the Truma submersibale in, which is plugged to a connection on the side similar to EHU connection.

Good morning, Mr Pernickety.

How lovely to hear from you.

I'm very sorry if I've upset either you, your mere water container or your Truma submersibale (sic).

I'll endeavour not to use a generic expression when a specific one is clearly the better choice.

Yours in abject humility, etc.

P.S. Have a nice day

I'm with you, mate. If it was good enough in a container under the sink for Herr Bachem, then it's good enough for me.

They must have. Just look at the way they pronounce 'Hymer'.
