Yes I must have been lucky & I always drive "though the seat of my pants" being aware of what's occurring between me and the road ! I have driven ,and still do, for the past 32 years a 2CV, getting through many sets of tyres and NEVER had any wheels balanced and NEVER had wear or vibration problems So where do do you have evidence that by not doing a balance this is a evidence that it is "bonkers not to" I may not have saved a fortune, neither have I any regrets ! I still maintain that a lot of problem is caused by wheel or steering geometry ! - tow in/out/ camber which is not a factor with a rigid 'dead axle' ! As previously said - no harm done if you want to be extra sure and be "balanced" Choice is yours

Both Al-ko and BPW axle geometry have toe-in and camber offsets.
