Hi everyone

I'm a newbie here so please be gentle!

I've just bought a 94 Familia which has what I've discovered to be a Westfalia SSK hitch, which looks like it's going to cause me trouble in the future. Not only is it complicated but I also am worried I won't be able to get any security device for it. Anyone got any thoughts about this? Is it easy to swap it for something more conventional and up to date?

Welcome. We changed ours and it was money well spent.

Hi Graham, we had the earlier model which was a golden bronze colour, had it on our Burstner for 18 years trouble free, really easy to change the pads, just my twopennyworth. They have advanced and become "single handed use" now but they do the same job. We towed our van to and from northern Germany countless times as well as extensivly touring Europe, as I say no problems
